Our 2008 Summer Outing and rodeo was the best ever with more than 300
people in attendance. Everything went off without a hitch, except there were
not enough parking spaces.
The rodeo events started right on time with members participating from
Locals 1249, 42, 47 and 104.

Business Manger Tiler Eaton flipped burgers with the help from Brian Murphy and Hugh Boyd while Laurie Gowen coordinated their efforts and put out a few flare ups at the same time.
The 104 sponsored racing team; car and crew were also present. The Swallow Family Racing crew had a pit crew competition which the crowd and participants both enjoyed.
New Hampshire Governor John Lynch even stopped by and chatted with the crowd while he enjoyed watching the team and hurt man rescue events. He spoke with several members he had met previously at the tornado restoration sites in NH.
The kids seemed to enjoy the day with Ripley and Peanut the clown who did face painting and balloons animals. There was also endless enjoyment in the jump castle.
The day capped off with a full sit down meal catered by Muddy River Smoke House and when everyone was good and full they were able to enjoy the music provided by Brother Eric Porter and his band.
This event seems to get bigger and better every year and we hope this trend will continue. This is a great day for members, family and friends to get together. It is also a good time for apprentices, new members and maybe some of the older members to take a look around and realize what “we” are all about.
