If you were looking for something to make you feel good, be a part of
something that gives you a sense of pride.
I.B.E.W. Local 104’s Brotherhood Fund has been around since the summer of
2002 when our Brothers and Sisters on the floor of the monthly meeting voted to
fund this program and see to it that the small beginnings of the Brotherhood Fund
could continue to support our members.
To date, the Brotherhood Fund has helped nearly 50 of our members and their families bridge the gap and help alleviate some financial burden due to illness or injury.
Our efforts have paid mortgages, rent, and outstanding medical bills, fed families and funeral expenses. They are the actions that truly build Unions and Brotherhood. Still more needs to be done, and one of the biggest obstacles to overcome is the lack of communication. Many of our members are unaware or unwilling to use the benefits that are available.
Brothers and Sisters, you must let us know if we have a member in distress. This program can’t be used to the fullest without member involvement. Be proud of yourself, you should be.
